Seventeen Dorm Arrangements (Updated)
Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 12:55 amA chronology of Seventeen's dorm arrangements; a post for the merely curious, or the utterly deranged writer chasing historical accuracy as a self-soothing mechanism. Further commentary and sources are below the table.
This is an beefier and renovated update to the January 2021 chronology, and I have since fixed any broken links (e.g. all V Live links have been replaced).

By March 2013
Seventeen lived in one apartment, with two bunkbeds stacked next to each other in every room, and only one bathroom.
- You can deduce the roommate arrangements by watching the 17TV GoodMorning Episodes (9 March 2013):
- DK, Hoshi, Dino, Woozi (DK waking Dino up and Dino whining!! My heart)
- Wonwoo, Mingyu, Jun, Vernon with Samuel IN THE SAME BED (why does Wonwoo say “Mingyu-yah” so softly to wake him up onto to continue sleeping himself!!)
- We do see Seungkwan in this dorm but not where he sleeps, we do know they had beds in the living room so maybe Seungkwan slept there? Or maybe there’s an unfilmed third room filled with their trash
- I think some members with homes in Seoul probably lived at home and just slept overnight to film this feature, particularly the younger ones like Vernon and Samuel. The way the rooms are very neat for teenage boys and some of the beds don’t even have pillows make me Suspect.
- I was so endeared at Mingyu and Woozi immediately hitting their head when they get up
- Woozi is by far the hardest one to wake, they drag him out of bed only for him to fall asleep again in Mingyu’s bed AND Jun’s.
- Their clothes often get mixed up and there’s a shot of Wonwoo wearing another member’s socks WITH HOLES (“wow there’s socks” he still says…)
- Episode 2 has more visuals. The closet system goes crazy.
- This was also the dorm where all the gang warfare occurred between the “OK to share underwear” group and “Protect my underwear” group.
- The first time Dino entered this dorm he saw Seungcheol holding Mingyu in a headlock. Mingyu’s eyes was screaming “please save me” and Dino was terrified.
- We don't see Seungcheol, Doyoon, or Mingming, even though they were at Pledis in March 2013. I wonder if they were on break or living in a seperate dorm because Seungcheol and Doyoon were training to debut in Tempest (which was supposed to be the other half of NU'EST, consisting of Seungcheol, Doyoon, Yoosang, Yoongwon and Jihoon). Tempest did magazine features in 2012 and was supposed to debut in 2013, but disbanded after Yoosang and Youngwon left Pledis. (Source: Kprofiles)
- Jeonghan had mentioned that he roomed with Woozi at one point when the managers moved out of a third room because the room was too cold (the trainees slept across 2 rooms only). Those who could endured the cold moved in and wore 2 socks, 2 pants, padded jackets and hoodies “but it felt really warm”. 🥹
- For those writing pre-debut fic, this gdocs spreadsheet timeline is super useful.
- This apartment was probably their dorm from much earlier, it’s only that we see it for the first time in March 2013. In 2020, Hoshi mentioned that they have lived together for 10 years, i.e. since he joined Pledis in 2011.
March 2016
Seventeen moves to an apartment in Gangnam with three rooms and the following rooming arrangement:
- Room 1: Seungkwan, Joshua, DK
- Room 2: Hoshi, Vernon, The8, Jun, Wonwoo, Dino
- Room 3: S Coups, Jeonghan, Woozi, Mingyu
- We hear about this dorm in an interview with XP Star Shot where Seventeen shared what life is like in the new dorm (May 2016).
- The rooms were all different sizes, which is why they are split unevenly in groups of 3, 4 and 6.
- Like most Seventeen decisions, the rooms were allocated by chance.
- Honey Room: DK, SK and JS room was known as the “honey room” because its cozy and tucked away in a corner. The closet door is controversially never closed because it has a mirror inside. DK has a massive humidifier which injured JS when he was climbing down from the top bunk (it appears DK has a tendency to leave things everywhere).
- Instant Wake Up Room: HS, VN, T8, Jun, WW, DN’s room has 6 alarms which all go off at the same time in the morning. It has a veranda and is the biggest room. Everyone except Wonwoo falls asleep quickly, Wonwoo needs to watch videos before bed. Since everyone else has sensitive hearing, Wonwoo gets nagged for being loud (and is called out for not wearing headphones).
- Darkest Corner Room: SC, JH, WZ, MG’s room always has the lights off and the door shut. It also has a veranda and gets sun. SC, JH and WZ are light sleepers and wake up when the alarms go off in the next room. Dino and Mingyu are heavy sleepers. Mingyu’s alarm is Fronting (haha because it starts with Hoshi singing ‘I woke up’) and sets it two hours early on repeat but he still doesn’t wake up to turn it off)
- Roommate arrangements were confirmed again on Weekly Idol (which aired 21 June 2017)
- Dino has the top bunk and Hoshi is on the bottom (180106 Dino Vlive at 1:17)
- My guess is that they moved here in March 2016 because:
- This was likely a 2 year rental contract, and they moved to their next apartment by March 2018
- Theres this tweet about a Japanese headline on 28 April 2016:「SEVENTEEN、最近寄宿舎をトイレが三つもある良い場所に移動。頻繁にトイレに行くジョシュアも安心」aka “SEVENTEEN recently moved to a dorm in a good location with 3 bathrooms. Joshua, who frequently goes to the toilet, is relieved.” (???!!!)
- I couldn’t find the original japanese article but can verify that 3 toilets was clearly a major point of celebration since several headlines reported on it (see: SBS Power FM “Cultwo Show”, Soompi Reporting).
- Seventeen has complained that they rarely went on V Live in this dorm because Jun never wore clothes
Around July 2017
Mingyu and Minghao clean a storage room in the Gangnam apartment and move in together >___< GyuHaoists prepare your heart (author is GyuHaoist and speaking from the grave). The story goes, Mingyu and Minghao were absolutely fed up with how messy their roommates were and was tired of cleaning up after them, so they cleared out a CLOSET and MOVED IN TOGETHER. They were in the closet together!! They were roommates. They were roommates by choice (muffled yelling in paper bag). The following is a timeline for my own reference because I went forensic in the twitter search.
- 20170720 Seventeen Radio Vlive: 97z talks about how Mingyu and The8 talks about spending 5 hours ‘a few days ago’ cleaning a storage room and then decorating it to suit their tastes. They bought all the cleaning supplies themselves, added stickers on the wall and bought a speaker to play jazz music and now it is 'the best room in the dorm'. (See 6:38 with "we're lying on the same bed right now (minghao giggles)”). Also the way the whole live has romantic music in the background urghhh teaching me what love should look like.
- 20171204 LieV x Seventeen (the lie down pajama live): Minghao was on hiatus because of his back injury so they video called him in at 3:45. This is our first and only peek of the Gyuhao room!!! You can see the artwork and the mood lighting heh. Also at 6:00 Mingyu infamously calls him out for moving his painting so that it would show up on camera.
- 20180106 Dino Vlive: At 13:58 Dino was asked 'Who cleans?' and he said that....whenever Jun/Hosh/Vernon/Him made a mess, Minghao would clean up after them but then he couldn't stand it anymore, gave up, and moved out haha. (I'm assuming this implies Wonwoo does not make a mess but he does not clean either)
- 20180412 SVT Club Ep 2: Episode where they do a room tour of the new dorm. So GyuHao are no longer roommates BUT at 25:31 GyuHao talk about how they drink wine together and light a candle and put on jazz music ;; and when they finish a bottle they clean it and put flowers in it ;______; and they had around 20 bottles but threw it out when they moved ;______; Seungkwan even says that sometimes he will walk in and immediately walk out ‘because they are at it again’ (SIR WHAT DO YOU MEAN). At 26:12 also tour of Minghao's new room aka 8Bar debut.
- 20180413 Instagram update: Minghao a set of photos including two of Mingyu posing, and a (analog? film?) photo of wine bottles with flowers in them and Mingyu comments ‘A memory’ (AND IF I EAT MY FIST)
- When Mingyu had to break down his rest day he allocated 2 hours to 8Bar—wait this is now tangenting into a GyuHao manifesto BRAKES ON BACK TO BUSINESS
Wo do have a diagram of the GyuHao room set up:

By March 2018
Seventeen moves to a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam. This time they are spread across two apartments on separate floors, with the following arrangement:
6th Floor:
- Joshua
- DK
- Woozi & Mingyu (roommates, has a mini fridge)
- Wonwoo & S Coups (roommates but Wonwoo slept in the living room)
8th Floor:
- Jeonghan
- Minghao (starts 8bar in this dorm)
- Seungkwan, Dino, Jun (roommates)
- Hoshi & Vernon (roommates and the messiest room with clothes everywhere)
Source 1 is Episode 2 of SVT Club, where you can see:
- 7:14 & 32:02: DK’s room
- 12:41 Woozi and Mingyu’s room
- 26:11: Minghao’s room
- 43:45: a brief glimpse of Joshua’s room and his star projector so he can see constellations in bed <3
- (Tweet compiling screenshots from this episode)
beds in svt's dorm: pic.twitter.com/k4urjDg7zt
— *:・゚✧ (@bichuisigan) April 14, 2018
- You can see a bit more of the living room and laundry in the episode 3 bonus ‘2m Muscle Mingderella Cleaning the Dorm’ (detour, Mingyu is mad that Seventeen doesn’t sort their garbage into recycling and non-recycling)
Source 2 is the beginning of the 20190223 episode of The Manager.
- 8:10 shows the floor allocations between 8F and 6F, and you can see the roommate arrangements when the manager goes to wake them up at 6am.
- Also, I clearly don’t see Wonwoo’s bed in Seungcheol’s room anymore. I think there’s a story about how Wonwoo wanted a proper gaming set up so he sacrificed his bed
- You can see that Woozi and Mingyu’s bedroom has changed, but it was actually done sometime in March/April 2018 because Woozi complained on SVT Club about how the beds were too high and that they had already replaced it between filming the dorm content and the roundtable content.
- There’s a tumblr post compiling some screenshots from this episode
I think they moved in between 9-21 March 2018 because:
- The episode previewed on 5 April 2018, and based on Woozi’s phone call with the manager, we know it was filmed when BSS was promoting ‘Just Do It’, i.e. 21 March - 26 March 2018.
- They ran a Japan Arena Tour from February 21 t0 8 March 2018.
- The8 and DK did a VLive in their old dorm on 11 December 2017 (green walls, bunk beds)
- The academic in me is going: hgnn this does not narrow it down enough.
Apparently the 6th floor dorm is like a movie theatre. Hoshi reported Vernon was watching a movie on the 6th Floor 13 April 2020, and then on 25 September 2020, Seungcheol was complaining on WeVerse about everyone watching the Matrix “Take Vernon”, “Vernon isn’t leaving…”.
21 June 2020
Seventeen stays in the same building, but adds another apartment (possibly on the 7th floor):
- 8F: Jeonghan, Hoshi, Woozi, Seungkwan (201109 fancall with Woozi)
- 6F: Seungcheol, Joshua, Minghao, Mingyu+Wonwoo roommates (they lost in rock paper scissors, WW says he keeps his gaming computer in Coup's room bc there's more space... and he sleeps in SC's bed sometimes??!!)
- 7F?: Jun, DK, Vernon, Dino
- The upstream source for all dorm arrangement info is this Korean tweet—which is hearsay!! hwa can not find a direct source but it’s been 3 days of investigative journalism and one must move on!!!
- We know that Jeonghan & Seungkwan lived on the 8th floor because DK has posted about it (8 December 2020: ‘I came to the 8th floor to play but, what are these two doing?’). Hoshi has also said that he is living in the same room as before (i.e. 8F).
- This dorm is where the SoonHan newlywed jokes started (concert ment). Jeonghan would call Hoshi if Hoshi comes home late.
- I’m guessing Seungcheol, Mingyu, Wonwoo, Joshua stayed on the 6F as that is logistically simpler.
- Floor 7 is purely speculation, just because it is between 6th and 8th, I’ve seen tweets but no source.
- Wonwoo has two PC setups across 2 rooms, one for filming & editing and one for gaming. Seungcheol has said Wonwoo’s always in his room and sometimes even sleeps there (BUT THERE’S ONLY ONE BED?) (Source: Radio Show)
- They definitely added a new apartment on 21 June 2020 because Hoshi got too excited on 24 June and spilled the beans. Seungcheol & Jeonghan jumped on Weverse the same day and clarified that they re-arranged the rooms with rock-paper-scissors, and now everyone has their own room except Wonwoo & Mingyu. They also mentioned:
- The room move happened 3 days ago (i.e. 21 June 2020), and will last for 2 years until the apartment contract ends.
- Seungcheol has the biggest room, and Jeonghan has the “main room”.
✏️ Note: from here on, the timing & details are ambiguous because Seventeen gradually moves out of the dorms into their private accomodation. We get pieces of information but nothing TMI and definitive like the shows they did early in their career. I've decided to group the topic by member rather than by time. Intended to be a writer's reference!
Seungcheol
He has said that he now lives with his brother and Kkuma (Kang Hyung-wook’s Dog Guest show, 29 April 2023).
- 4 of the seventeen members have dogs (Wonwoo, Seungkwan, Mingyu, Seungcheol)
- Btw - the subtitles seems to be a mistranslation. Kkuma (not Seungcheol) used to live with the family, and only recently moved to Seoul to live with Seungcheol and his brother.
- Seungcheol actually had no plans to live with his brother and doesn’t want to (xD) but decided to do it for the sake of Kkuma and her walks.
- Usually walks or runs the Han River early in the morning.
- S Coups has a collection of hair pins for Kkuma (omg they’re so cute) and his favourite is the pastel pink bow.
Jeonghan & Seungkwan
- The only pair who are still confirmed roommates and are still living in the dorm! (As at December 2025)
- I believe they are still living on the 8F after Hoshi & Woozi moved out.
- They have adorable couple photos in the living room hahaha
- When Jeonghan enlisted, Seungkwan wrote him a heartfelt letter AND made a sappy post on WeVerse about being roommates, so we know that:
- Seungkwan has intense mood swings
- After a day of schedules, Seungkwan will want to spend time by himself, either by going out for a walk or closing the door
- Jeonghan really looks after Seungkwan by giving him space and picking up his food delivery even after sSeungkwan falls asleep
- Jeonghan will wait for seungkwan when he oversleeps, doesn’t let seungkwan eat alone
- Jeonghan scares seungkwan by pretending to be a ghost
- Trivia: when a cockroach comes out both of them start panicking (Source)
- I was on twitter around this time and the tweets were all bagging Seungkwan like: Boo Seungkwan farewelling his military husband Yoon Jeonghan only for Jeonghan to come home everyday after his 9-5 office job
- Jeonghan signed a contract to buy a new apartment back in 2021, which finished construction in February 2025. It's a 105.81m2, 4 billion won (US$2.75 million) penthouse in the the Brighton Hannam complex. It has two bathrooms and two bedrooms. (Source). Jeonghan didn't move in and instead leased it out for a 2 year contract.
2025/12/17 UPDATE
- Thanks to community feedback we have updated news (taps earpiece) Boohan moved out together between April - June 2021.
- You can see from those pictures that 210327 is the last time JH does a live in this dorm, and on 210621, he has a new background that we see all the way through to 2023, and we also see the family portrait background in lives between 2022-2024.
- It's possible Boohan are no longer roommates, Seungkwan's live on 251119 also shows a different apartment. [we are currently investigating--]
Joshua
Has said himself that he was the first one to move out of the dorms because the members didn’t clean up after themselves, left food out and did other things that shocked Joshua so much that he rarely left his room (LOL).
- Source: KyuTV interview (with Cho Kyuhyun) (hwa’s Super Junior bias <3) around 14:09
- Joshua’s a good cook, and often makes doenjjang jiggae, other jiggae, stir-fried pork, bibimguksu, banquet noodles and other Korean food.
- During trainee days, Joshua would wash his underwear and his socks, hang it up to dry but the NEXT DAY IT’S GONE because someone stole it. To find the thief they would pull each other’s pants back to check.
- On concert day, they would receive conditioning from a specialise conditioning team that would give them massages and help them loosen up. After rehearsals they would massage tense spots.
I think Joshua moved out before June 2021 because Mingyu & Wonwoo moved to a new apartment around June 2021. It’s possible that he moved out even earlier because (1) Covid (2) he’s an only child and he hit his cohabitation limit in 2015.
Aside, there’s a predebut story about Joshua doing all the laundry at the dorm because he was left alone while everyone else went to school, only for Mingyu to criticise him because blues should be separated with the blacks and Joshua had to REDO IT (Source)
Also bought his mum a house and told her not to work anymore (Source).
Between you and me and the gossip corner, Joshua was likely living with his girlfriend in 2023—the background of his Lives matched the background of her instagram photos. It was a horrible era because everyone involved got death threats, he was called to leave the group and antis sent protest trucks to HYBE. The sentiment amongst international fans was very much “wtf” and anger at HYBE for not protecting the private rights of the artist. Anyway, when the HYBE internal documents were leaked in 2024 there was some hilarious corporate reports about using gay ships to cover up the emotional damage amongst East Asian fans.
Wonwoo & Mingyu
MinWon nation rise!! Mingyu and Wonwoo are still roommates in 2025! They moved once around June 2021 and again around February 2024.
- I think they first moved out of the dorm to another apartment nearby with just the two of them so that they can finally have their own room after 10 years.
- Around October 2020, they were still roommates in the cramped room (Source: W Korea HHU interview)
- The earliest we heard about the move was Mingyu’s vlog titled ‘Bittersweet Day’ after their unit song (Posted 4 June 2021). He’s definitely in the new house because you see him in a solo bedroom followed by the empty living room which he gradually decorates with prints of his own photos. At 6:05 Mingyu calls “Wonwoo-hyung!”.
- Mingyu posted a photo of his colognes and candles on Weverse on 4 June 2021. Here are some more photos of what the fans now call the “bittersweet home”.
- For Mingyu’s birthday in April 2023 the members bought him a €5,000 sofa which he showed off on live.
- We do know that MinWon moved apartments by August 2023, because Mingyu went on V Live on 5 August 2023 and mentioned the new house (that he can't show yet).
- Around February 2024, Minwon talk about the new apartment on the 20240211 WeVerse Live, mentioning how Mingyu’s dad gifted them a loquat tree, which Wonwoo does not water.
- They did a TMI about the new house in June 2024 (Wonwoo rarely goes out into the living room, Mingyu decorated the living room with his own money)
- Wonwoo frequently talks about how the house is clean and tidy because Mingyu does all the cleaning.
- On Insomnia Zero, Mingyu said he spent 2 million won to build a dressing room in their house and asked Wonwoo to pay 1/3 since his stuff is piling up.
- I bet you they still fight about the air con temperature
We know they are still roommates in 2025 because Mingyu talks about Wonwoo coming home or being home but can’t come on camera because he’s currently enlisted. If you want to get high off the delulu there are compilation videos of meanie roommate moments.
Hoshi
- We definitely know that he’s moved out of 8F (because only Seungkwan and Jeonghan are left). I think he moved out around April 2023 because:
- Around April 2023, he bought a 149m2, 5 billion won (US$3.7m) apartment at the “Brighton N40” complex, near Hakdong Neighbourhood Park, in Nonheyon-dong, Gangnam Gu.
- News sources say it was bought entirely in cash
- His neighbours include: NCT Mark, Twice's Nayeon, and Yoo Jaesuk
- He has shown us the inside. But a good visual ref is other articles about the complex and the architect's website
- He also bought his childhood home so that his family could move back (I think this is the place in Namyangju, where Hoshi was born). This happened sometime before June 2020 because it talked about it on Radio Star (Translation onReddit)
- I’ve seen comments that say Hoshi now lives with his family but I don’t think this is accurate:
- He’s said in 2025 interviews that he will visit his family whenever he has free time (implying that he doesn’t live with them usually);
- There’s a tweet about how Hoshi doesn’t have a room in his parents house so he sleeps anywhere including on the living room couch, his sister’s bed, his mums bed and on the floor;
- I also think it’s unlikely that his family will be living in Gangnam because it’s quite a commercial area and popular with busy celebrities—I would assume his family will live someone more low-key and residential. It’s also unprofessional for a media outlet to report on the apartment if it was going to be occupied by non-celebrities.
Woozi
(Sherlock mode). We only know Woozi’s moved out because only Seungkwan & Jeonghan are left in the dorms. Woozi was living with them after the 2020 dorm move and moved out by the time BooHan took the couple photos in April 2023.
I couldn’t find information on Woozi but I think he may have moved out early, because he’s the richest one and also because he’s an only child like Joshua (applying some psychoanalysis).
One data point for speculation: during Jeonghan’s covid lego era, he set up his mess in Jihoon’s room (around December 2020). He mentioned that it was because Jihoon’s rarely home (i.e. in the studio), but I wonder if the room was so clean because Woozi didn’t live there anymore.
Jun
No information on Jun!
There’s speculation that he moved out in the second half of 2021, because there was a bunch of DK-Vernon-Dino V Lives in early 2022, who were Jun’s housemates. The theory goes, if Jun still lived at the dorm, he would’ve made a cameo in those V Lives. (See: spreadsheet of all V Lives from 2015 to 2022). I don’t think it was simply because he was away in China, because he returned to Korea on 20 December 2022 after spending 3 months promoting in China.
There’s some cute speculation that Jun lives with Minghao, but I think it’s more likely that they live nearby and spend a lot of time together. E.g. at 19:30 of this WeVerse Live, Jun knows Minghao’s door code and enters his house, but then later says that he was going to eat his takeaway alone if Minghao didn’t text him about the Live. (But this OP still writing fics about jun8 housemates, don’t let reality get in the way of good fiction.)
There's the 230116 livewhere we hear a meow in the background?? We thought Junhuo doesn't own a cat??? And then he never did a live from his house ever again LOL.
Minghao
I think the first time we saw Minghao’s place was a WeVerse live with Seungcheol on 4 April 2023. So he moved out by that time. From the colours of the chairs and the table you can tell this is the same place where:
- Minghao, Seungcheol, Joshua, and later Jun, did a WeVerse Live on 30 April 2023. [OP note: the eng sub video got taken down the same day I watched it…]
- Minghao celebrated Chinese New Year with his parents and Jun in 2023.
We do see Mingyu and Minghao together on sofa around February 2023 (that is not Mingyu’s €5,000 sofa) - so maybe this is out first peek of Minghao’s place.

DK & Vernon
Friends, I have scoured high and low for any information on DK & Vernon’s situation past 2021 but am coming up blank these two are NOT oversharers like Hoshi (and I respect that).
I can only infer:
- They were still living together when Insomnia Zero III was filmed (~June 2024, see 5:38) because DK complains about Vernon’s 100 unopened parcels and threatens to burn them
- They may have moved out, because of how Seungkwan & Jeonghan talks about the last ones left behind in the dorm (which may just mean the last ones left on floor 8 and not necessarily the building… I have a devil’s advocate in my brain and I can’t turn it off).
- DK should move out because he has to wash Vernon’s dishes on top of his own and his eczema keeps acting up (Source)
Dino
We know that he’s moved out because in a video with Donghae & Eunhyuk from Super Junior, Dino mentions that he lives alone and has a home bar (September 2025). (Mr lee chan you are not beating the gillette allegations). Please watch this video because you can hear about the 1 Dino vs 6 hyungdeul fight.
Earlier in 2025, it was reported that Dino bought an apartment in February 2025 in the Galleria Forest Complex Sengsu-dong and is now neighbours with G-Dragon (Koreaboo). It’s a 195m2 apartment costing 9 billion won (US$6.63 million). It’s a very big apartment for a solo person isn’t it… hmmm
I saw comments that Dino moved out around March 2023 because he mentioned on live about the buying a lamp at Ikea and said something like “it’s my first time living alone”— BUT I found the 230306 live (chn sub only) where he introduces the lamp and I can’t verify that statement..

Jeonghan purchasing an apartment in 2021 that did not even finish CONSTRUCTION until 2025 is fascinating. the fact that he immediately leased it out makes me wonder if he intends to lease it indefinitely, if he bought it as an investment rather than a place to live. but like you said in hoshi's segment, it would be unprofessional for the media to report on a non-celeb's address. hmmMM.
giggling through the gyuhao-storage-closet analysis and kicking my feet like it's 2020 instead of 2025 heheheh
This brought me so much joy and I'm sure it will serve as an invaluable resource for many writers, fans, and lurkers alike--just like its first iteration!! thank you for your hard work friend <3

Date: 17 December 2025 04:16 pm (UTC)I'm so happy to be able to share that joy with you. The historicity of light-eater astounded me when I read it and made me think about the ability of fanfiction to provide the gift of narrative to an idol's experience. The story covered real events, but there was a precious interiority to it that made me feel like I was able to understand and love the artist even more. That feeling motivated me to update the dorm arrangements post (or, to create a list item that I renewed every year until finally the spirit took over me and I performed its will)
By going through the housing angle, I feel like I got to know them more as real people rather than idols—because half of svt's comments about the roommates situation are complaints hahaha. It's fun to know who is the messiest, or who has bad habits, or to even imagine 3 people using the bathroom at once (sink, toilet and shower...?) Teenage mingyu nagging Joshua about separating blues and blacks also made me laugh (even I was never taught this... the man you are mingoo)
- I didn't include Seokmin's stint in commercial property investment bc technically its irrelevant bc he never lived there. I am honestly Thinking about characterisation even through their investment actions, like Jeongan you don't need the money, are you just doing this for fun? Is A-ssi a family friend? Is it all a cover up for your countryside cottage??!!
- the reporting is uneven (I imagine Mr Choi has 10 properties yet there are no reports on those) -- so I wonder if it's meant to be some form of smear campaign, like suggesting a certain idol is capitalist and therefore relatable to the common man (i.e. poor Seokmin's expose in 2021 which was a actually just a run-of-the-mlll transaction)
- queerbaiting as a legitimate marketing strategy Gets Me. I imagine 12 people sitting in a meeting room in suits with that HYBE report printed in manila folders, telling Seungkwan, fresh out of grief, how to flirt with his co-worker to cover up his other co-workers heterosexual relationship. Surreal. Kafka-esque. I wonder if there's powerpoints.
Hope you're doing well!

Date: 1 January 2026 06:38 pm (UTC)(I also wanted to know if you'd seen the theory that some kr fans have that soonhoon lived together until Hoshi bought his place in April 2023.)
I did have a question that maybe you've found the answer to in all your research? The articles all say that Hoshi bought his place in April 2023 and completed the registration in July 2023. Do you know if that means he couldn't actually move into the apartment until July 2023?
(re above theory of living together prior to this: there is video of Hoshi and Woozi going to music show recording in the same car from 230428 but everything else I've been able to find from that year between May and July is GMP which doesn't show the cars.)
